Traditional Snapsticks

These amazing snacks come under a wide variety of names.  When I first came across them, many years ago, they were beer sticks.  Appropriate as they are amazing alongside a cold beer. The chilli snapsticks simply have the addition of chilli flakes. They are made from only the prime muscles of our 100% grass-fed Scottish silverside, perfectly trimmed of all connective tissue, which we cut into 10mm steaks cross grain (so easy to eat, no bull terrier tugging required) and then we cut them again into 10 x 10mm strips. We then dry them a bit more than biltong to 42% moisture but still sell the product at the same price as everything else. No wonder it is hugely popular and we are very proud of this achievement.
